that is a beautiful baby bump im 13 weeks and i couldnt be happier!
I am as big if not bigger than Lacy and this is only my first. I started out at 5'5 145 very athletic and now at 16 weeks 159lbs. All of it is in my belly. I wish I knew how to post my picture. I asked my Dr and he said I am perfectly healthy too. However, all the comments I get are hard to handle because I keep thinking I am so diffrent. I have no idea what to compare myself too? Anyway I think Lacy looks all belly and beautiful. There really is not medical answer on why some of us show so early - if so fill me in. Id love to know.
But still, I wish my belly was like that! Then people would stop saying I'm gaining lots of weight behind my back and actually KNOW I am pregnant.

We all do carry differently. No mother carries the same. Some show a bit, alot, or not at all. It all depends on your body style. You don't have to be overweight to show a good amount. Some mothers are "average" weight, and they have belly's that are buldged out looking round like a ball. Then you look at their ultra sound picture, and the baby is the size it should be. It's just how you carry it. Some women have more water retention (bloating), some don't. It all depends. By now all you ladies should be showing, if not don't be concern because some of you will only start showing on your 5-6th month. My point is, don't judge a person An ultra sound that is done, definately shows how far a long you are. It may not be accurate on the specific date you will give birth, but accurate enough to tell you what month you are in. Enjoy these women, and how wonderful that they took the time to share their pregnancy bumps with us. This is not a time to be critics to other mothers. This is the time to celebrate motherhood, and how different all of us show during our pregnancy.

Think about it ladies before making insulting comments about these beautiful moms to be. I don't care how much kids you popped, take into consideration your body is different from others!

Some of the women on here are so catty. If we all know that we are different and are growing differently, why are people so offended when we notice and state those differences? And the ones that are claiming the others are rude are the rudest in the bunch. It's really sad. Lacey, you look good and healthy and most of these women really don't mean any offense when they say you are big-bellied at 13 weeks. I'm sure you are intelligent enough to see that. you know what.. i am 13 weeks and on my second pregnancy.. i wasnt as big as you but i def had a belly going on.. i couldnt wait to get my rounded belly.. and even now with a little left over from my daughter id rather it round than the way it is.. you are beautifl.. treasure your belly.. because even tho it feels like 9 months will take forever.. if youre anything like i was you will miss it terrible when its gone!!
I think she looks wonderful im only 11 weeks and have a rather large belly. lacey i think you tummy is gorgeous, flaunt it, love it, show it off because your never gonna be at this stage of your pregnancy with this baby again. I don't think anyone was really rude but i can see how some people would think that. I myself have long legs but a very small upper body, between the top of my hips and bottom of my ribs is barely 2 inches if that and I show fast too. congratulations everyone and lacey beautiful belly!!!!
I feel like women arent being rude by saying her belly is big. I say this because they are not saying she's fat ladies, they are just saying she is big for the amount of weeks she is compared to others, which is normal. I myself am 13 weeks and i have a belly so big that even my family is telling me to slow down. I take no offense. And I know I am eating alot and not the healthy food, just seefood, whatever i see. If they wanted us to keep comments to ourselves, they wouldnt have put a spot for us to drop one. Freedom of speech. U look good honey, so dont worry if youre gaining the weight fast, just as i am. I think i've gained over 10 lbs already. Just congrats youve made it safely, almost, past ur first trimester. And besides, every lady whose smart enough should see and know that you werent "big" before you started showing. That is all belly, or should i say "baby". She looks great, She must've posted her picture on the week. I am 13 weeks and I am not showing yet and this is my second. Regardless if she's big or small all Pregnant women are sexy. Just look at the picture. ALOHA.
I think she looks about as big as me and I'm 13 weeks... and I know exactly what day I got pregnant because it was about the only day in a 3 month dry spell that I could have! Some people carry it differant, up high, down low, around the sides. What matters is her her and the babies health and happiness!
I am 13 weeks pregnant and have a big bump already. I did with my little girl, now 4 but that is just the way some people carry. I am a size 8 with very little hips so my tummy pops out very quickly. I also suffered "are you sure its not twins" all through my first pregnancy and by the end felt quite miserable due to all the "you are huge" comments - you wouldn't dream of saying it to someone who is simply overweight so why is it ok when you are pregnant? We are not fat, just growing a baby! I would also say that within 3 weeks I was back in my size 8 jeans so it really was all baby!

I think that is a perfectly round belly! I remember with my first one my stomach was that pregnant! Everyone asked me if I was have twins or more! I wish Lacey W. would update us!!!!!!! I don't think anyone has said anything rude. I think its a compliment to be big (hello doesn't everyone want a big healthy baby)
It's not by any means rude or mean to say she's big for 13 weeks - it's a fact that she is! What's the big deal about saying that? Some people are big, some are small, just like some people are blonde and others are brunette. Have we all been so brainwashed by Cosmo that the word "big" automatically means something negative? Get a grip!

Is she big? Maybe, maybe not. Who is to say exactly how big you are supposed to be. Doctors are not 100% on baby growth. Not to scare anyone but bigger does not mean healthier. You do not have to be big to carry a healthy baby. My second son at birth weighed 11 pounds and appeared to be healthy but at 6 weeks it was apparent that he had been born with a milk allergy and acid reflux. He is perfectly healthy today. Babies do grow out of it. But I learned that babies over 10 pounds are at higher risk just as premies with problems. Technically this is my 5th pregnancy. I have three beautiful boys. But before I had my first I had what is called a blighted ovum (dead egg) and just recently back in October a miscarriage. I am here looking to see what other moms to be might look like at 12-13 weeks and everyone looks differently. I have to say though that it is nice to see other women that are about the same size as me, comforting. I am very nervous and looking for answers to many of my questions. I don't care how many kids you have had because each pregnancy is different. I will feel much better when I hear my babies heart beat, until then I am on pins and needles. Pregnancy is a gift and a beautiful thing but different for many people. So whether you are big or small YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. The greatest feeling in the world is feeling your baby move. Men have no idea the joy it brings to most women when they feel that little life moving about. It is just amazing! I wish everyone the best of luck. So relax and enjoy your pregnancy and please stop bickering. Life is too short.

It's more then possible for someone to be that big so soon. Also keep in mind, that when you have more then one child, you tend to get bigger easily!

Should people desire their baby to grow slower or smaller so their belly doesn't look big? Does it matter if it looks like twins? Try miscarrying a baby and your whole outlook will change- I say bring on the baby belly!

I have to say I thought I was big at 13wks. and I am having twins. Not, to be rude but this makes me feel so much better.
I just wanted to say you look gorgeous. I am 11 weeks and I have a HUGE baby bump. I have a 2 year old son and I lost my daughter last year to anencephaly. This pregnancy is my 4th. I popped out right in the beginning.. as hard as a rock. It is comforting to see other mummies that are as big as me in the tummy. :) Thankyou so much for sharing
I too am 13 weeks with my 3rd pregnancy. I dont look quite that big but I do have a big belly and its all belly! I have been in maternity clothes for about 2weeks now and have only gained 5 pounds. There is nothing wrong with how she looks. You guys know nothing about her
Just bc they say her belly is bigger than the average 13 week belly is not offensive, so what? What if she wasn't even showing, is that offensive? We are all about to be moms, arent we all a little bit to old to be playing elementary games? Its all just an opinion, not the red carpet...

i think you look wonderful. everyone caries their babies differently. more power to you if your showing now. the other girls are just jealous they didn't start showing as early as you. i say flaunt your baby belly. pregnancy is the most beautiful thing, its not about having the perfect belly.

I am 13 weeks pregnant, and not that big, but bigger then all of the other girls in week 13, and the doctor said it is perfectly normal. Bigger women get bigger bellies faster as she said.
I agree, no offense intended. She is either about 7 months pregnant or carrying twins or triplets. This is my second, and just last weekend I saw 4 different pregnant woman at a part, all at various stages. myself, 13 weeks and another girl also 13 weeks, 32 weeks and 37 weeks. Only the 37 week woman was this big, and it is her 3rd pregnancy.
