   My Doctor said that as long as you dont do your roots you will be o.k.
   So the best way to not show roots is to go back to your natural haiir color. For exmaple me my hair is dark brown and i had been dying my haor light brown. So I bought an at home kit..dyed my hair chestnutt brown and voila no more roots!

   so breathing the hair dye is not bad..its just the scalp absorbing it, thats the bad part.

There are too many myths out there about what you can and cant do when your pregnant so do what you want, its your choice as long as you feel great doing it and your doctor says it is ok. the only person you should be listening to is your doctor anyways Have a beautiful pregnancy and healthy baby :)

    Hey you look great! about the roots, well I had my hair dyed when I was pregnant with my first two and they were as healthy as can be. Personally I think it's a myth but if you are really concerned about it then I think you should hold off on it and yes they say its better to just go with one color and not highlights since they touch the scalp.     I am a licensed hairdresser, your scalp does not absorb hair color! It is perfectly ok to color/hightlight your hair while pregnant. as long as the smell does not bother you! I would stay away from doing an all over bleach though, those are pretty harsh.

    hi! im a licenced hairstylist and their have been many studies done on pregnant women coloring their hair, and not one of the researches show that coloring your hair is harmful to the fetus...i colored my hair along with many of my clients hair during 2 of my pregnancies and all was fine...if anyone is truely concerned, then you can highlight with a cap or foil, so that way the bleach does not touch the scalp(i don't recommend bleach toughing the scalp anyways, but color is fine). fumes can be a little tough to inhale, so if it gets to be to much than wear a little mask or go outside the salon while the color is processing for fresh air. every dr. has their own oppinion on hair color, some say it's fine, others aren't. you do what you feel right about!

However, the chemicals to get absorbed into your skin and can be transmitted through to the baby. There are some great alternative, organic hair colorants out there. I live by a Whole Foods Market and buy a hair dye that is !00% vegetable base, I just take it in to my favorite salon and my fave girl does it for me! You look gorgeous! Congrats!
