About the pregnancy cartoons

After many sleepless nights spent pondering the humorous nature of pregnancy, our yet-to-be-pregnant cartooning artist realized she was going to need some help from moms who'd been there. Happily, a beautiful collaboration between the artist and our snarky freelance mom blogger, the sarcastic journalist, sprung up to save the day! The humor was conceived together and each panel was hand-drawn by our relieved cartooning artist.

That was like the little girl at the Drs today. she saw my baby move and looked at her mom and with big, wide eyes she whispered...mommy there's something in her belly. she looked so freaked out but way cute. later she felt my tummy and got excited.

LOL that's adorable, I have no idea if my son is going to be asking questions or not. He'll be 3 in May. Only a couple months before this little one is due. My daughter is going to be 2 so I'm not worried about her. I did ask if he wanted a baby brother or sister and he said no, so we'll see how it goes when the baby is born.

LOL..too cute! It reminds me of my 3 year old cousin Reah...every time I see her she asks me why I ate my baby and proceeds to tell me how tying a rope to the baby's leg and pulling will bring her right out!
I love my family!

This is too funny, I can see how a little mind can misconstrue the concept, some people may not agree but to explain it to my daughter (5yrs old) without really explaining, I let her watch the video tape of her own birth. I haven't had to explain how the baby got there in the first place thank the Lord lol.

My son is almost five and I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant. My father did this trick awhile back where he secretely held one cherry under his shirt and ate the other and then popped the thing out his bellybutton, so now my son thinks that the baby is going to pop out mommy's bellybutton like the cherry!

I am about 15 weeks pregnant with my second and my five year old says mom, why did you eat my sister? I tryed to tell him I didn't eat her, but that just brought up the question of well, then how did she get there then. About 7 years before we discuss that one son. Ha Ha.

lol This is so funny and it reminds me of one of my first doctors appointment. There was a lady with her son and she was telling him she was going to have a baby he had to be no more then 3 years old. Well he asked his mom where the baby was and she pointed to her belly and you had to see the look on his face. He started crying and say but mommy why did you eat the baby. lol lol lol it was the funniest thing i had ever heard.
