About the pregnancy cartoons

After many sleepless nights spent pondering the humorous nature of pregnancy, our yet-to-be-pregnant cartooning artist realized she was going to need some help from moms who'd been there. Happily, a beautiful collaboration between the artist and our snarky freelance mom blogger, the sarcastic journalist, sprung up to save the day! The humor was conceived together and each panel was hand-drawn by our relieved cartooning artist.

I was on bedrest and INSISTED on getting a pedicure right before being induced!! It was relaxing, my feel were up, and it made me happy, so that's how I was able to justify getting out of bed and travelling to go get my pedicure before my son was born... lol

I love this! I usually do my own but the task is a bit much. Thankfully my salon doesn't use smelly chemicals and offers an awesome tangerine scrub and wax that smells so good!

the concept here was actually inspired by a comment about how pregnant women can't see their feet. obviously they can when they put their feet up-- but then, what about reaching down to touch your toes... much less giving yourself a pedicure?

if you're wondering about the seat, you haven't ever gone in for a professional pedicure. i wil just admit it outright-- i'd never seen one before. thank god for google images, i just happened to find a photo of a girl getting a professional pedicure and she was indeed sitting on this funny white-toilet like throne seat which happens to have a foot-sized jacuzzi tub.
