About the pregnancy cartoons

After many sleepless nights spent pondering the humorous nature of pregnancy, our yet-to-be-pregnant cartooning artist realized she was going to need some help from moms who'd been there. Happily, a beautiful collaboration between the artist and our snarky freelance mom blogger, the sarcastic journalist, sprung up to save the day! The humor was conceived together and each panel was hand-drawn by our relieved cartooning artist.

Love it! I showed it to my husband because we were both so active and and makes me just that much happier that not all my tummy is fat... like his "beer belly" :)

Man I was jumping walls and playing "cops and robbers" (can you tell I'm a kid at heart) till I was 8 months! But...after having the baby I lost all motivation!

originally, i was planning on the image speaking for itself and being absolutely free of text-- but it seemed important to make it clear that she's not happy because she's so fit and wonderful but because-- when her baby is "on the outside", she'll lose that belly... much quicker than the poor guy will lose his belly.

and yes, i suppose most pregnant women aren't going to be jogging that much, but it's supposed to be "inspiring!" heh.
