About the pregnancy cartoons

After many sleepless nights spent pondering the humorous nature of pregnancy, our yet-to-be-pregnant cartooning artist realized she was going to need some help from moms who'd been there. Happily, a beautiful collaboration between the artist and our snarky freelance mom blogger, the sarcastic journalist, sprung up to save the day! The humor was conceived together and each panel was hand-drawn by our relieved cartooning artist.

Omg, I'm so glad my morning sickness isn't as bad as with my first son. I was almost hospitalized. This time around, all I get is a little quesyness in the morning. The throwing up actually stopped like a week ago.

oh yeah, 11 weeks now and it looks like is actully getting worse, what's up with that?

I feel like this too. Thank the lord my morning sickness is subsiding, I only vomit 3-4 times a week as per 5-6 times per day. It's never fun watching healthy people eat whatever they want when you are eating soda cracker and gingerale!

Y'all are going to hate me....My first pregnancy, no morning sickness and this one, none either....I feel bad for the ladies that are out there who've got it in the morning, all day and just whenever. Usually when I did get a tummy ache though I did eat Chicken In A Bisket crackers and that usually helped.

This cartoon pretty much is my life in a picture. I keep a big pot with me all the time. I have avoided a lot of messes because of this handy, washable companion. It is best to line it with a bag if going out in public though. I'm almost three months and it isn't letting up. Thanks for the humor.

Lyssa, I don't hate you but I am a little jelous!! I only got sick a couple of times with this one but with my first two I was constantly in the bathroom. With my daughter all day and with my son usually it passed by lunch time. God bless you that you haven't been sicker. I'm happy for you. God bless!

I was so sick with my first but eventually at around 5 months it went away. With my second I was in the hospital because I got pretty sick. Now with my third, I got so sick one day that my hubby had to bring our kids to a sitter. Then the other night I got a stomach bug and I had to throw up 3 times. That's the most so far. But I won't be out of the woods until February. So we'll see.

All I have to say is that I think you should have added a little backround like a window showing the moon or something because I have a lot of vomiting and sickness and it's NOT ALWAYS IN THE MORNING. It's in the middle of the night, at dinner time, whenever my body feels like it's time. Very nice though.

this is one of my favorites. i think it pretty much takes the cake in terms of quiet horrible moments experienced in pregnancy.

and i really do feel like it's a cruel injustice that most women end up with morning sickness AND they can't drink alcohol.

i mean, really, one or the other but not BOTH!
