About the pregnancy cartoons
After many sleepless nights spent pondering the humorous nature of pregnancy, our yet-to-be-pregnant cartooning artist realized she was going to need some help from moms who'd been there. Happily, a beautiful collaboration between the artist and our snarky freelance mom blogger, the sarcastic journalist, sprung up to save the day! The humor was conceived together and each panel was hand-drawn by our relieved cartooning artist.

im 10 wks and 5 days today. and this morning sickness is killing me. i feel like im losing weight. i cant hold nothing down. everything i eat just comes right back up. and my boobs have gotten bigger.

Im in the beginning of my 10th week and I've enjoyed my vs yoga pants! LOL But this is my second one so i know all about the clothes not fitting and can't fit into maternity pants yet.... you got to love it!! ;)
LOL i am 14 weeks, none of my jeans fit. I am reduced to sweats and silk gym shorts. This ticks me off, i just went clothes shopping in Jan!!! With my first daughter at 3 months i looked about 8 my dr said i am an "Early Bloomer" LOL
No nonthing fits. Im only 10 weeks and i have to go buy bigger clothes. I went from a size 1 to a i dont even know what size i am:(

i'm at my 12th wks, still no baby bumps..but my pants dont even want to fit me now....and i dont think prego pants will fit me rite either
I am 7 weeks and I can not believe that my regular pants are not fitting already! I wonder if maybe I was starting to gain weight before I was pregnant? I don't know but I can't wait until it is an actually pregnant belly - Now watch in 6 months I am going to be complaining that I am huge and I can't believe I made this statement! LoL~
I am 10 weeks and 3 days today. I can fit some of my jean shorts, but after a while i have 2 unbutton them 2 feel comfortable. it feels n looks like i got a bulge, but at the same time it just looks like my regular stomach. i was a chubby girl to begin with.

This is my first, as a teen mother (16) it is very exciting. I cannot wait until little Sean comes out. I love my belly! =)

im having my 3 baby this nov, i have 2 girls so im hoping for the boy!, but for some reason i feel like im having another girl!, so my point into all this is that im scared because i have no idea what i would name her!any suggestions!?
Josie1982- you just made my day! I love your attitude. I wish I was more like that. I'm the biggest chicken when it comes to my in-laws. I'm getting a little better about not letting them get to me or at least not letting them put me down so much. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you truly made my day. Thanks!!
i am 8 wks today my 6th pg but only 3 are living i miscarried early in pg. i am still in my reg jeans and shirts. i am kind of a bigger person. not nasty big but plesntly plump as my DH says lol. with my first baby (daughter) i didnt show until a week before i had her when she finally decided to pop out. when i had her i was 34 wks gestation. this is going to be hard for me my DH and i are excited to have our last baby but his family is down our necks you better not have another kid blah blah blah bullcrap. if they only knew lol (but they are not gonna know)
I'm 18 weeks and just beginning to get a nice bump showing out front. People keep on thinking I must be only 1 or 2 months along and are surprised when I tell them. Maternity clothes like jeans are so comfy since they fit the same as normal jeans except that they stretch as you grow, but they are still baggy on me.
I'm 10 weeks pregnant with my first child and all of my shirts fit fine so do my pants except when I sit down I undo them to feel comfortable...But I am so excited bring on the mommy clothes..
With my first I started to show around 6 weeks and only because I was was pretty thin and petite. I'm only 5' tall and now with my 3rd, I feel like I'm showing but I think it's mostly the leftover weight from my previous kids. I have a lot of weight from them that I was hoping to lose before I got preggers again. No such luck. Now I'm living in my maternity clothes from last time. I can under no circumstance wear jeans, they make me really uncomfortable. So it's loose skirts, loose dresses and very loose tops. I've also found out that Ross has some really cute maternity clothes. Good luck everyone!
i'm twenty weeks and i still haven't bought any maternity clothes. the pants make me feel unattractive. so i'm stickin to my low rise jeans and abercrombie hoodies for as long as i can. :)
Ok i'm so much bigger then that am i having twins? I guess i will just have to wait until the ultrasound.
i'm 19 weeks now, so i've been going around to stores trying on all kinds of clothes.
it's so frustrating because i'm short -4'11"- and i need pants (who wants to shave every day?) nothing fits... it sucks!
i know eventually i'll have to shop online in order to get petite sizes, but i can't try those on so i'm delaying that as much as i can.
this cartoon would be me if the pants fit but were about six inches too long... ;p (same problem with long sleeves, btw)

Yea I can understand this one my best friend is quite big at ten weeks she has gained a lot of weight but I haven't I'm was barley showing.
Oh gosh, this is so me. My tummy is pooching out a bit at 10 weeks and 1 day, and my normal pants are uncomfortable when I sit down, but I'm not big enough for maternity wear yet. I'm going shopping today to find some good stretchy pants to wear in the interim. XD
I'm 23weeks and I have a nicely proportioned belly for being 5months with my first. One thing I have noticed its that the maternity clothes you need depend on where your blessed one sits... do you have a low-belly or a high-one? Mine is low. I'm having a boy and I really wish I could have just bought shirts and kept my same pants. I was pretty thin pre-preg, so alot of my shirts wont fit over my belly either. I feel like I'm forced to either, where clothes that are too tight and show off my belly all to well or where my husband's clothes and hide my pregnancy altogether...it's frusterating at this point. The one pair of maternity pants I was given seem too tight on my belly.

even with my second preg. i didnt show until about 4 1/2 months, thankfully, because my hubby and i were married at 4 weeks preg and i wore the dress i bought before we were even preg! lol... with my first i showed around 6mon.

I am almost 12wks. and I look 4 or 5 months! this is rediculous, it is only my first, I thought I would be excited for the day to come, but I literally woke up 3 weeks after finding out I was pregnant...with a HUGE stomach! lol At first you blame bloating, but it just continues to grow.
i am pregnant with my third child. when i look at myself i think i look pregnant, but noone else seems to notice. i can still button my pants but when i sit down it feels a little uncomfortable. i guess its time to bring out the maternity clothes.
for the first tow months i coud fit in to everything i wore in high school! and then the bloating came !
this is so funny becouse almost all women in there first pregnacy are always so exited that they can not wait till there belly fit maternity clothes
I'm 10 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my first baby and I'm still wearing all of my regular clothes,now I've had to buy a couple of maternity shirts but my pants I can still fit (not wearing a belt lol)other wise that I have been wearing big shirts and pajama pants or stretchy pants like most of you lol it's fun though I'm lovin' it.

I'm 20 weeks along with my 2nd and this is still me!!! Ugh, I was so huge the 1st time around. I guess it's cause I'm runnin around at work 6 days a week now, lol. I fit into the shirts ok, but the pants fall off!! I've been living in gym clothes...
I hated shopping for maternity pants! For the first 4 months I just put an elastic on the fly of my regular jeans and wore long shirts. When that stopped working we went on the dreaded hunt for maternity pants and eventually found some jeans that didn't look too bad. One pair I call my humpty dumpty pants because they make my belly look just like humpty dumpty.
Is there anyway I could get a hard copy of the pregnancy calendar for my home to share with my family?

I couldnt fit maternity clothes until about 7 months. Even then the pants were too big. I only had a belly didnt gain any other weight. I was kinda upset since I didnt get to do the whole maternity thing.
Does anyone know if theres a way to put this cartoons in your page (myspace)?

I'm 10 weeks today, over the last few weeks I've been in this phase where my regular pants are getting too tight but maternity pants are too loose. I know have two pairs of pants I don't need a belt with anymore. I loved this cartoon!
I am 33weeks, and even though its hard to find tops to fit, I can still fit into my pre-pregnant pants, size 3, I guess thats just because shes so high up.
